Canadian Firearms Safety Course

PAL COURSES:
The Combined course includes both the Non-Restricted 8-hour course on the first day and the Restricted 4-hour course on the second day. Cost is $299.00 + GST
The Non-Restricted course is 8 hours long and covers firearms you would use for hunting. Cost is $199.00 + GST
The Restricted course is 4 hours long and covers handguns and other restricted rifles and shotguns typically used in sport shooting. Cost is $175.00 + GST
At the end of each day, you will be tested on both safe handling and take a written multiple-choice test.
Pricing includes testing and manual.
NOTE: If you already have your Non-Restricted licence and want to get your Restricted licence, the Restricted course is extended to 6 hours from 4 hours. Non-Restricted students must be at least 12 years old with parental consent and Restricted students must be at least 18 years of age. Students aged 12 to 17 can apply for their Non-Restricted Minor’s PAL once they pass their course.
PICTURES:
For the Non-Restricted course only, we bring in a photographer to take and print your licence photo during your course. The required photo to submit for your licence is a very specific size we noticed students were having a hard time finding. To avoid submitting the wrong size, we offer that service in house. Cost for photo is $20.00 + GST.
EXTRA TRAINING - Shooting Fundamentals Course:
These courses are not part of your licence process, it is a separate paid training event only open to our PAL students. These courses are held in our range where you will learn how to shoot with real guns.
Handgun training is a 2-hour course in our range led by ITTA instructors.
Rifle training is a 2-hour course in our range led by ITTA instructors.
Handgun and Rifle are two separate 2-hour courses.
You will be introduced to the fundamentals of marksmanship through class lecture, hands on, and then live shooting. Gun rental, ammo, and targets are included. You do not need to wait for your licence to take this course. You will be sent an email with a selection of class dates and further information. Your registration does not expire and you will constantly be sent course dates until you complete your course.
